Ildiko Almasi Simsic

A world renowned expert in social development with over 15 years of experience, driving thousands of impactful projects across five continents. With a unique blend of expertise spanning multiple sectors - including mining, agriculture, renewables, oil and gas, energy, water, transportation and financial intermediaries. Through my work with the most prestigious institutions in the world, I have become a leading voice in social safeguarding and sustainable development.

My main passion, though, remains taking opportunities in sustainable finance projects to further social development, whether we zoom in on labour and working conditions, supply chain management, involuntary resettlement, livelihood restoration or the environmental and social management systems and governance. I acquired a pragmatic mindset to support my clients and make sense of social impacts.

 

In 2023, my first book 'What is a Social Impact?' was published and won the International Impact Book awards. Since then, I have been featured in countless publications such as Forbes, FastCompany, Big think, the HR Director, SupplyChain Strategy, Elite Business and more, talking about social impacts.

In 2024, I combined my passion for pragmatic approaches with my interest in technology to start E&S Solutions, and design the industry's first AI-powered E&S research assistant myESRA.
